Day 4.

Welcome to day 4 saints, you are climbing up the mountain.

Please do remember that this fast is like a marathon and not a sprint. When you look at the day you are on, in comparison it can seem daunting. From personal experience, in this fast I would encourage you to NOT look at the mountain at this stage, the road ahead in days, or limit yourself to what day you will reach. But take one day at a time. Step by step, and put your faith and trust in him, and sure enough the number 4 will turn into a 4-0 in no time.

Just like the Israelites in the wilderness for 40 years he provided daily for their needs with fresh manna and quail (Exodus 16:11). Surely he WILL keep and sustain you. Fix your eyes on him daily, surrendering fully, depending on him.

Do not fixate on the number of days ahead, but fixate on him.

Use these days to grow in intimacy. Bask in his presence. Learn to enjoy the process and what the Lord is doing each day, even when you don’t see, he IS working.

On the 4th day of creation God separated the light and darkness, creating day and night (Gen1:16). No matter how dark things may seem in your life or in this fast, have faith that the very God we serve, can bring you back into the light just like that “(II Peter 3:8).

Never forget that you, yes YOU, are truly so precious to him. He even knows the number of hairs on your head (Luke 12:7) who can say this about you? No one!

He even knows what you want before you ask (Matt 6:8). He wants a relationship with you. Intimacy! in this fast, we are creating this time, to truly seek him 1-2-1. For he is worthy of it all. So let’s honour him each day, by committing all of ourselves to this fast. Amen.

Daily manna to meditate on……

”But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.“ II Peter 3:8 NKJV

”But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.“ Luke 12:7 NKJV

”How could one chase a thousand, And two put ten thousand to flight, Unless their Rock had sold them, And the Lord had surrendered them?“ Deuteronomy 32:30 NKJV

Food for thought……

Number the many things the Lord has pulled you out from?. Name/list them. Sometimes the blessing is in the unanswered prayers, he has actual answered you. He knows you better than you know yourself and what is better for you than you do. So, let’s give him thanks and bless him, for he is good and his mercies endure forever.
