Reflection
During this fast, you may find yourself reflecting on God’s promises for your life and family. Perhaps you are wondering why His promises seem delayed—or questioning the calling and positioning He has given you.
The truth is this: God’s promises never contradict His character. They always flow in line with His divine will and purpose. As Paul reminds us: “For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory” (2 Corinthians 1:20).
Our security rests not in our ability to keep ourselves, but in God’s faithfulness to His Word. While humanity falls short (Romans 3:23), Christ has made a way for us to stand firm. By the help of the Holy Spirit, we can change our response and posture ourselves to truly stand on His promises.
Steps to Stand on the Promises of God
To stand on God’s promises means more than quoting scripture—it means practicing the Word. Meditate on it, believe it, declare it, and align your life with it. God’s promises are never meant to satisfy selfish motives but to fulfil His will and bring Him glory.
As you continue in this fast, let Matthew 6:33 guide you: “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Begin each day with this promise, and watch how God shapes your spiritual growth.
Scriptures to Meditate On
Prayer
Father, I yield myself to Your will and Your plan. Fulfil Your promises in my life as I hold fast to Your Word. Strengthen my faith, cleanse my heart, and align my desires with Yours. Thank You for being faithful and mindful of me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
