Petitioning the mercies of God for our nations

Confessions

Lord, I acknowledge that the people who you have nurtured and raised have turned their backs on you and rebelled against your holy word. Today I come to you asking that you will extend your mercies towards them, in the name of Jesus. Isaiah 1:2

Lord, I acknowledge that your people have sinned and that they are now heavy with iniquity. As I stand in the gap for the wicked in your land, I ask that you have mercy and forgive them, in the name of Jesus. Isaiah 1:4

Lord, today I acknowledge that your people have forsaken you for the gods of this world, forgive them for their transgressions and do not destroy them with your anger, in the name of Jesus

Thanksgiving

Lord, I come to you with thanksgiving in my heart, lifting my voice in praise unto your holy name, in the name of Jesus.

Lord, today I bow down my knees before you in thanksgiving, offering you a sacrifice of praise, in the name of Jesus.

Lord, today my soul blesses your holy name. With my whole heart I surrender my vessel unto you, as a living sacrifice, in the name of Jesus.

Let us Pray.

Lord, I acknowledge that our nations sins are deserving of your judgement. Our sins are punishable by death. Today, I ask that you look upon the blood of Jesus, and have mercy upon your nation, in the name of Jesus. Romans 3:23

Lord, your word says that the heart of a king is in your hands. Today I ask that you turn the hearts of your people and your nation, away from sin and iniquity and reconcile their hearts back to you, in the name of Jesus. Proverbs 21:1

Lord, your people have forgotten you. They have believed a lie and have chosen to live a life independently from you. Lord, remind your people of who you are. Descend upon them with your mercy and deliver them from a strong delusion, in the name of Jesus. Isaiah 1:4

Lord your people have erred against you with an evil heart of unbelief. They have departed from you their living God, because they have hardened their heart through the deceitfulness of sin. Have mercy Lord upon them, so they can turn back to you in repentance, in the name of Jesus. Hebrew 3:12-13

Lord your people have tempted you in their hearts. They have murmured against you because they did not get the lust of their hearts. Lord, I petition your mercy, and I ask that you do not send a destroying angel to destroy your people because you are grieved, in the name of Jesus. 1 Corinthians 10:9

Lord your people who are called by your name, have forsook your nature, they no longer fast and pray with a whole heart. They are corrupted. Today, chastise them with your mercies, so that they will repent of their wicked ways and seek your face in humility, in the name of Jesus. 2 Chronicles 7:14

Lord, the nation’s sin is a reproach before your eyes. Today, I cry unto you and ask that you deliver them with your salvation. So that the nations will be exalted with your righteousness, in the name of Jesus. Proverbs 14:34

Lord, the prosperity of your nations is under oppression, because of the absence of your righteousness in the land. Today, I ask that you deliver our national prosperity with your righteous right hand as you lead your people to repentance, in the name of Jesus. Isaiah 1:7

Lord, visit the leaders of this nation with your thoughts and plans, in a dream and a vision. Interrupt the plans of darkness and overturn them with your truth, in the name of Jesus. Jeremiah 29:11

Lord, society is corrupt, there is no soundness in it. The mind of our culture is sick, and the people are stiff necked. Today, I stand in the gap for the people of this nation and ask that you visit their callous ignorance with the knowledge of the word of God, in the name of Jesus.

Lord, your word say that salvation belongs to you. Today, I come to you in prayer, asking you to move according to your loving kindness and let your nations encounter your salvation. Mature them spiritually by your Spirit, in the name of Jesus.

Lord, it says in your word, that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Today, provide your nations with opportunities to hear and respond to your gospel. I pray that you move over your peoples’ hearts so that they will know the truth. It is your truth that will liberate them, in the name of Jesus. Romans 10:8-9

Lord, the people of your nations no longer follow your ways. They have departed from your paths. Merciful God, I ask that through your grace and mercies, you will teach them your ways, so that they may walk in your paths, in the name of Jesus. Isaiah 2:3

Lord, I thank you because your mercies make new every morning, so that your people will be able to walk in the liberty of the Holy Spirit, in faith according to your word, in the name of Jesus.
