Confessions

Father Lord, I acknowledge the sins of my nation. We have forgotten that you are our Lord and Saviour. Your people no longer believe your word. We have murmured and we have not listen to your voice. Today, I cry out to you and ask that you have mercy upon your people, according to your loving kindness and the multitude of your tender mercies. Blot out their transgressions, in Jesus name. (Psalm 106: 24)

Father Lord, I acknowledge the sins of my nation. Our national pride, insolence and rejection of your holy commands. Today I petition your mercy, and ask that you save them for your name sake. Make the mighty power of your salvation be known, in the name of Jesus ( Psalm 106:8)

Father Lord I acknowledge that as a nation we have forgotten your righteous works, and as a result we have not waited for your counsel. Today I ask that your mercies will speak for us. Favour your people Lord, and visit us with your salvation, in the name of Jesus. (Psalm 106:4)

Thanksgiving and Praise

Bless the Lord, O my soul and all that is within me, bless his Holy Name. Lord today, I declare that you are my Lord and my God. I acknowledge your greatness; the splendour of your sovereignty. You are clothed with honour and majesty. Be thou exalted here on earth. Psalm 104:1

Bless the Lord O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his Holy Name. Lord you make springs in the valleys, which run among the hills. Arise, O Lord in the abundance of your holiness and receive your praise.

Bless the Lord, O my soul and all that is within me, I bless the Lord’s Holy Name. Lord your glory shall endure for ever. You will rejoice in your works.

Bless the Lord, O my soul and all that is within me and bless the Lord’s Holy Name. I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. My meditation of you Lord will be sweet, in Jesus name. Psalm 104:33-34

Leadership and Governance

Father Lord, I lift up our nations leaders. Our monarchy, our Prime Minister and all the ministers of parliament. I commit their lives and families into your hands. I ask that you give them wisdom and revelation during times of economic uncertainty. Show them how to use the power and authority you have given to them wisely, in Jesus name.

Father Lord, our leaders have embraced religious freedom and expression, and as a result, they have forsook your Lordship. Today, I ask that you release the convicting power of your Holy Spirit upon them. By the authority of the power of the Holy Spirit, cause them to put away their idols and cease their idolatrous practices, in Jesus name

Father Lord, I pray that your leaders will respond to economic struggles upon their knees, seeking your face for the hope and help of our nation’s needs. Visit them. Let them encounter, the only one True God, in the name of Jesus.

Father Lord, raise up leaders like Joseph, who walked in the fear of the Lord and who by his hand you made him lord of all your substance. Today, Lord I asked that you turn our leaders hearts to fear you, in the name of Jesus. (Proverbs 21:1).

Father Lord, lift up a standard against the spirit of greed that will cause our nations leaders to abuse their power and authority, by making the rich richer and the poor poorer, in the name of Jesus.

Father Lord, take hold of the reins of this nation through the hands of your leaders, and rule. Under your leadership Lord, your people will be glad and rejoice in you, as you reign as the King of kings, in Jesus name (Psalm 110:1-2).

Pray for the people in the land

Father Lord, look upon your people and be compassionate unto the poor and needy. Release your mighty hand, your outstretched arm. Deliver your people from succumbing to the temptation to commit criminal activities to survive, in the name of Jesus. Deuteronomy 7:19

Father Lord, you are a just God. Show forth your justice. Convict the hearts of hoarders, who selfishly take more than they need, without a care for the needy. Release their hand to give to those who lack and who are less fortunate, in the name of Jesus.

Father Lord, release your fiery rebuke against the spirit of murder, that will seek to minister violence and abuse in the midst of an economic crisis. Today I declare that the vulnerable will not be destroyed physically, spiritually, mentally or emotionally by the economic change. Saved them Lord and let your people know that they are saved, in the name of Jesus.

Father Lord, arrest the spirit of lawlessness that seeks to monopolise upon disadvantageous economic circumstances. Hinder all expressions of youth crime, gang violence , theft, murders, drugs and substance abuse, prostitutions and all senseless crime , with the authority in the name of Jesus. Lift up a standard Lord, against the flood of the enemies’ attacks, in the name of Jesus. Isaiah 59:19

Father Lord, I pray for the disabled and their families. I pray that the you will be their strength in times of financial instability. Let your peace minister soundness to their mental faculties. Let your love for them captivate their hearts. Release your help, when they feel hopeless and depressed. Be their provider and present help in times of trouble, in Jesus name. Psalm 46:1

Father Lord, I pray that you will strengthen marriages and families experiencing increased pressure due to financial struggles. Let the families that do not know you, encounter you. Let your voice rest upon their souls. Call them Lord, so that they will draw near to you and be saved. Show your compassion towards them Lord, so that they will live, in the name of Jesus.

Father Lord, I pray that you will strengthen Christian marriages and families experiencing increased pressure due to financial struggles. Minister your peace in their hearts, as your Spirit of wisdom and revelation gives them the knowledge they need, to rise above the financial strain and enter into the rest of your abundant provision, in Jesus name.

Father Lord, I ask that you release your abundant Spirit upon the life of all believers in your church. Lord move them to give sacrificially to help the less fortunate. Open their hearts to give and support homeless shelters, food banks, disadvantaged families, widows, orphans, the elderly and the sick, in the name of Jesus.

Father Lord, I pray that you refocus the eyes of all Christians, so that they will not look at the economic crisis and be discouraged or be in fear. But instead, they will focus their eyes on eternal priorities. Convict their hearts so that they rest upon God’s promises of help and provision. Lead them by your Spirit, to continue to evangelise the gospel of salvation, edify the church with the fivefold ministry and seek your face in all situations, in Jesus name.
